Synchronicity
Hello,I suppose you want to know how I acquired my great wealth.
Come in, sit down and make yourself comfortable.
Drink?
Cigar?
No?
Oh,you just come for the story.
All right then, here goes.
Money, the root of all evil.
No, for the love of money is the root of all evil.
Well,I never had much, but like most people I always wanted more.
No matter how hard I worked and how much money I saved,I always ended up spending the money on some unforseen emergency.
I got so fed up with scrimping and saving and ending up with nothing, that I decided to investigate ways and means by which I could be financially Independent.
My first stop was the library. I browsed through the how to make a million writing your first novel. It seems too hit and miss for me.
I checked out the how to set up your own business and retire on easy street section.
I read many books on how to earn money, but nothing struck a cord with me.
Vexed with the state of affairs and my dwindling cash reserve, I decided to go an alternative route.
I purchased a book on spells, magic, incantations and what not. I read the book with interest and decided on the perfect spell for me.
The spell that I did, I will not quote here for obvious reasons.
All what I will say is that it was a spell for money, fortune and to understand synchronicity in nature.
My body tingled as I did the spell on the first night of the full moon.
My first breakthrough came one week after the spell. That morning, I came downstairs and switched on the television. The weatherman was on and I distinctly heard him say;
"The racing weather is rock solid today at Kempton."
As was my wont in the evenings, I was reading the days' racing results on teletext, when lo and behold the 2.50 at Kempton was won by a horse called Rock Solid.
Determined not to miss such golden opportunities in the future, I decided there and then to take more notice of my surroundings and things in general.
Thereafter, everything I did turned to gold.
The next day I went to a public telephone box to phone a friend. I lifted the receiver and a one pound coin fell on the ground between my feet.
I waited till the wednesday and I did six numbers on the lotto, with baited breath I watched the numbers tumble from the machine.
Three of those numbers were mine.
I collected my ten pounds from the shop and walked down the high street feeling lucky. A strange thing happened then. I walked past a shop with a collection box for the needy.
On a whim I put half of my winnings in the box.
Two days later, I was reading the newspaper and on the racing pages a horse called Lucky star caught my eye. I put my five pounds on him to win.
I got a return of fifty pounds from the bookmakers for my five pounds outlay.
I gave half of my winnings to the poor and needy.
My financial standings zoomed to new heights the day a group of numbers literally smacked me in the face.
It was a cold and windy day and I was wondering where my next big win would come from. I was walking the back streets of town and a swirling mass of newspapers flew in my face.
I stopped and removed the offending articles and went to chuck them away. I noticed that they were six different newspapers and upon closer inspection saw that they had six different dates. I made a note of the dates and played the numbers on the lotto.
That night, with mounting excitement, one by one the numbers I had played were ejected from the machine.
I jumped up and gave the mother of all screams at my good fortune. I had won the rollover jackpot of ten million pounds.
I gave half to the poor and needy.
Of course, good news travels fast and the media soon heard of my unorthodox talent for winning money. I declined any interviews and said the usual no comment.
To this day I am still playing the numbers. I look for coincidences in nature and then play.
Up to now, I have always won.
